What can be tracked from the actions users take within Contractor Commerce?

Recognizing goals and reporting them in your Facebook or Google Analytics

Is there a pre-built integration?

At this time, there is not a plug-and-play solution to add event details into your already existing event tracking. However, there are tracking metrics available within the Contractor Commerce Command Center.

What data is available?

There are two main facets to the software:

  1. Your Storefront
    1. Processes sales from your website like filters, tune-ups, or maintenance plans.
    2. We have reporting within the command center for metrics such as gross sales, sales by SKU, SPIF Earnings, and more
  2. Your Journeys
    1. Help turn website visitors into qualified leads that are sent over to your sales team.
    2. Journeys track how far each user makes it and makes that data visible individually for each Journey

How can I get this into my Facebook or Google Analytics?

"Crawlers" have a notoriously hard time getting into the individual store pages. However, each different item in the store and every step of each Journey has a unique URL that can be used to pass data back to Google Tag Manager or Facebook Pixel. This allows those tools to get an idea of what's happening.

 

Facebook Pixel usually has these set up as Custom Conversions in the Event Manager. Google Tag Manager uses a parameter called the URL History Fragment. It's recommended to use the URL History Fragment instead of the Page Path or Page URL parameters.

 

Below is a table of some URL fragments for useful conversion points (note that these will always come after the "/#" in the URL like this: demoshop.contractorcommerce.com/shop/#/cart).

 

Action URL fragment
User views the shopping cart /cart
User views the checkout screen /checkout
User completes a purchase /checkout/success
User sees a price and becomes a qualified lead in a Journey /systems/results
User progressed past the system procing to schedule an in-home visit /systems/thank_you
