How do I change the order of my filter shop?

Filter Shop FAQ & Best practices

How do I find Products in my Dashboard?

To follow along, navigate to Store Management > Products in your dashboard.

Products are the physical goods that you'll sell to customers through your online store. The items you'll see pre-populated within the store are fulfilled by Contractor Commerces warehouses and shipped directly to your customer. You and your customers have access to our catalog of over 500 items we drop ship!

How do I change the order of my Products?

We recommend arranging your filter store to have your top 15-20 filters at the top. Generally, your customers won't scroll past the first couple of pages. This will ensure your customers are finding the filters you sell the most with ease.

To change the order of the filters in your store visit the Contractor Commerce Dashboard and navigate to Store Management > Products > Search

We recommend searching for filters by brand name. The search is space-sensitive so if you choose to search by size, ensure you are adding spaces after each number with quotation marks as shown. Example: 20" x 25" x 4"

Once you find the filter you are looking for. You can simply edit the number in the position box and will move the filter to that position along with pushing the filter it's replacing down by 1 position.

Your edits go live instantly in real-time and you can view them by clicking on the Shop Plugin Preview button in the top right or visiting your websites shop.

What's the breakdown of Product / Filter Pricing?

All Products / Filters have a Landed Cost (what you pay us) which is defined as:

A direct pass-through of the raw costs for the product, packaging, shipping, and handling to deliver the product to your customer. If you are on one of our legacy plans (Intro, Pro, or Power) your landed cost also includes a drop ship fee.

This cost generally stays within 1-2% of the landed cost shown and will only fluctuate if our pricing does so internally. It will automatically update your customers' pricing to reflect the change.

How do I Markup the pricing of my Products?

We give you the freedom to markup the filters in your online shop. We recommend checking your local pricing to stay competitive. Offering Multipacks is a great way to stay competitive with lower pricing. We generally see our customers marking up their filters from 25-40% and still staying competitive with large retailers. Service your customer's needs and still earn profit. A Win Win!

There are 2 ways to change pricing:

  1. Bulk Pricing
    1. Allows you to set one flat % markup to ALL products in your shop.
    2. This is the easiest method
    3. "Will Call" only applies to products that are set for pick up. Most of our customers turn off the pick-up feature
    4. "Update Auto Delivery Discount" applies to when a customer signs up for a Subscription. Incentivizes customers to do Subscriptions

Click Bulk Pricing & Discounts > Type in % > Click Set
  2. Individually Marking up Products
    1. Allows you to set specific % markups for certain products
    2. Helps you get more profit margin for filters that have very competitive pricing
    3. Will override pricing for that specific item set with Bulk pricing

Click Edit next to any individual Product / Filter and a new screen will popup

Scroll down to the bottom to set the Customer price manually. It will tell you the % markup to the right. Then click Save
