Google Business Profile Keywords to Promote Instant Online Estimates

How to Highlight Your Instant Online Estimate on Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile does not have a dedicated keywords field, so the best way to promote your instant online estimate is to use clear, natural wording in the sections Google lets you edit.

Important guidelines

Do not add a URL to your Business Description.
Google’s Business Profile description is meant to describe the business, and Google says descriptions should not include URLs or HTML.

Add links only where Google allows them.
If you want customers to click through to your estimate experience, use approved areas like:

  • your website field
  • eligible business link fields
  • Google Posts with an action button

Recommended places to update

1) Business Description

Mention the estimate experience in plain language, but keep it text-only.

Example:
“Get an instant online estimate for your project in minutes. We provide [service types] in [service area] and make it easy to explore pricing online before you book.”

2) Services

For service businesses, the Services section is a better fit than Products. Google says service businesses can add services and descriptions there.

Suggested service names:

  • Instant Online Estimate
  • Online Estimate
  • Instant Online Quote

3) Posts

Google Posts can include an action button with a link, which makes them a strong place to promote the estimate experience.

Example post:
“Need pricing fast? Get an instant online estimate for [service] in just a few steps.”

Then add the estimate page URL to the post button.

4) Business Links

If available on the profile, use Google’s business link fields to send customers directly to the right landing page. Google says these links help customers take action directly from Search or Maps.

What to avoid

  • Do not paste a URL into the Business Description.
  • Do not overuse keywords unnaturally.
  • Do not claim “free” or “instant” unless it is accurate.
  • Do not rely on Products for service businesses. Google says the product editor is for businesses that sell physical goods.

Simple recommendation

For most contractors, the safest approach is:

    • mention “instant online estimate” in the Business Description
    • add it as a Service
    • create a Post with a linked button
    • use approved business link fields where available
